Dr Amar spoke with me every day for the first two weeks. The day after the procedure I had a very painful right side by my ear. I went back to see him but it was nothing, dressings were replaced and I was given a prescription for antibiotics. The following Friday Dr.Amar rang and I went to see him and he removed the dressings. On the Monday following the front stitches were removed by a nurse. This was relatively painless. On the Friday the remaining stitches behind my ears were removed. This was quite painful.

I must admit to feeling really poorly for probably 3 weeks after the procedure. Although I was still able to carry out my daily tasks. The scars have healed and are almost invisible now. I have a small nodule behind each ear where the skin was removed.

I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Amar the care he gave me was exceptional. I advise anyone considering the procedure to see him first.

I don’t think a handful of words can never express my heartfelt gratitude to you for changing my life. I never dared to think it would be feasible someday to “find myself again” (psychologically and physically), someone I had not seen for the last 4 years after other unsuccessful reconstructive surgeries and before I found your clinic.

From the moment I contacted Dr. Amar, he and his team were just amazing. I was flying in from the US. They were able to accommodate me all the way. I was very nervous, this was my face. Being and actress and used to the scrutiny of the camera, I knew this was something I would only trust into the very best hands.

Dr. Amar took the time during our consultation and explained every step pre and post operation- I left the office excited. He listened to my concerns with patience and kindness – I was so relieved, I hugged him lol!!

His wonderful team checked in with me the day before, to make sure I would remember the pre- operation checklist and adhere to it. Once I came around from the operation I was able to go home and although I was uncomfortable I never experienced the kind of pain one would expect. Dr. Amar’s team checked in with me daily and I sent pictures, so he could monitor the progress. Day 3, I went to see him, and he was very pleased with the outcome. He had mentioned that patience would be key in the post operation process and staying positive. I decided not to fret and obsess in front of mirrors and to take this time to visualize my “new face” and all the things I wanted to do once it was healed. After all this was a new beginning. I had started a new adventure. My face on my terms.

I flew back to the US after 10 days- and continued my healing process. Dr. Amar and his team were completely available to me during all this time.

The initial swelling subsided after 3 weeks. 4 months in- I’m ecstatic. And I still have some way to go. My face looks younger- not that strange- pulled back- “done” look, but the way I looked 10 years ago! Dr. Amar had asked for pictures of my younger self to know what we were working towards- and he did it- AND improved it lol!! Every day I see small changes and improvements. My friends can tell- they are getting excited on my behalf lol!! My confidence is back. I look how I feel- and the camera loves it too lol!!

I feel such gratitude to have met Dr. Amar, it has changed my life. I would do it again in a heartbeat. The skill, integrity and precision make him not only a wonderful doctor but also a true artist.

Soon I realized that 2 years had been like ten years when it came to my appearance. I quickly decided to look into plastic surgery with the hope of improving my drooping upper eye lids and eye bags through a blepharoplasty, and my apparently growing nose. My face had lost so much weight, my bone structure was apparent; my nose looked bony and bigger. Sometimes people would tell me I look anorexic; of course I thought they were exaggerating, since I was eating fine but I had to admit that a unconscious stress was consuming me.

So, for me the first step was to clearly recognise my critical situation. I started searching for medical information with the hope of finding a good plastic surgeon which would be experienced and would solve my main concerns: my eyes and nose, thinking that would solve it.

I started off by going to what all the media recognised as the best in Spain and the 15th best in the world. I had a first consultation in Madrid. As I walked out, I had the feeling not to have been with a doctor and not to have solved very much. It had been very impersonal and mechanic. Few questions were asked, some pictures were taken, and I received the medical costs a few weeks later.

A few months later, reading through the health section of ABSOLUTE magazine of Marbella, Costa del Sol, I came across an article: – ‘Turn Back Time’, detailing an alternative to surgical facelift and blepharoplasty. The article was exclusively about Dr. Amar and his advanced FAMI technique using adult stem cells from the own body to repair and rejuvenate tissue. I thought it was very interesting. Being absolutely in favour of “the more natural – the better”, I researched this new amazing sounding technique, learning as much as possible about our own adult stem cells. It sounded more logical than to cut and pull or to eliminate something we have by nature.

I called the AMAR CLINIC and Sylvia, his assistant, gave me a date for a consultation with Dr. Amar. Already the first contact with the clinic, which I think is most important, had been very positive and pleasant, contrary to my prior experience where I had felt like – “next”!

My first consultation with Dr. Amar was not only educational in the sense: “Dr. explaining – patient listening – pictures – price”- No! Dr. Amar dedicated 1.5 hours with me first to make me understand what had actually happened to me in the past years, He then went on to explain the possibilities I had in order to improve my appearance. He did recommend FAMI for me over other procedures and he did explain why! That was when I started to understand that skin, bags and nose don’t grow with time and age, it is much more complex than that.

Not only was I impressed from the first consultation, I realized what I had been suspecting for a long time – I had to change the rhythm of my life.

Dr. Amar suggested that I take my time and think about all I had learned and to digest it. If I had questions, and he was sure I would, I could come back any time to speak with him. After my prior experience I was completely impressed that this time a doctor had taken his time to understand the person and to explain his suggestions. But should it not always be like that?

I took my time and researched further about adult stem cells and Dr. Amar, his credentials, his academic records, etc. I gathered my questions and concerns, and weeks later I had a second consultation. I have to explain one very important detail – the clinic’s team, including Sylvia the assistant, Beli the nurse and even Dr. Amar’s wife, Ghislaine, who I had the opportunity to meet, always received me as I was the only patient. You get all the attention and all their time. It was fantastic.

After 4 consultations with lots of questions and about 6 months later I decided to undergo the FAMI technique surgery. From that moment on, Sylvia the assistant was like an assistant to me, giving me a medical protocol and preparing me mentally for the surgery. The personalized and professional attention of the clinic’s team is exceptional.

The day of the surgery I was nervous and excited at the same time. Sylvia and Beli received me with open arms, I was introduced to the anaesthetist and the entire team was absolutely ready for me. Dr. Amar came into the room where I was being prepared to make sure that I was fine.

The local anaesthesia and sedation were applied and during the surgery, I felt no pain – nothing! I remember I was asked to smile and a few other things, music was playing. Once the surgery procedure was concluded I held a mirror in front of my face and could already see the results. There I was, again. I was back. I remembered that face from about 10 years earlier. Then I fell asleep. I was put to rest and at some point Dr. Amar checked on me and smiled satisfactory. I was discharged about 1 hour later, when my husband arrived to take me home.

I felt drowsy and tired, but no pain – still no pain. Sylvia advised to take some painkillers in case I felt pain or had a headache, and I remember a bit of a headache the next day. But that was it!

I want to mention a small but important part of this procedure. Dr. Amar did also a great job on a mini-Liposuction, carried out at the same time as the FAMI. It was a minimal part, but important nonetheless, and nobody wants to have dents or asymmetry on their hips or buttocks. I had some bandages on my hips which I removed after a few days. No scars, a bit of pain, like when you are sore from exercise.

I slept like a baby most of the day and the days after, slowly recovering from the local anaesthesia, and still no pain.

I had follow up visits to the clinic and pictures were taken. Dr. Amar was assured that the symmetry was maintained while the swelling was receding. As every person reacts different to the procedure, I had no bruising at all; just the logical swelling which went down gradually. The transformation was amazing. My eyes and forehead were again full and prominent and my eye lids did not hang any longer. The entire eye area was rejuvenated; my nose looked smaller and my entire face had gained shape and volume and was lifted and tight. My skin was pinkish, shining with life and fresh looking. These were the true results of my FAMI surgery. The evolution took about 2 months, and continued to improve further over time. And what I mean with that is that at first I looked a bit strange due to the inflammation, and day by day I kept changing to look myself again, but a self I had not seen in years.

I look great, I have maintained my face’s volume, my skin looks alive, my eye lids are raised and filled, I notice how some of my face’s bones are more prominent. Since the surgery, when I look in the mirror I think, maybe I will lose the results soon, but it stays with me. It is amazing!

I have still today regular contact with Dr. Amar and Sylvia, and they always want to know how I feel and ask to send pictures. I could not imagine undergoing a facelift or any other rejuvenation surgery beside FAMI. Thanks to Dr. Amar’s incredible anatomical knowledge, I have experienced the possibilities and facts of FAMI first hand. His dedication seems unlimited.

When I turned 53 I began to notice I was losing the fullness in my face. Keeping in shape kept my body looking great, but I was beginning to look gaunt in the face. When I looked in the mirror what I saw didn’t match the way I felt. I had this great body and a very youthful attitude but my face no longer fitted in with the rest of me.

Having previously been under a surgeon’s knife, I did not want to go down that road again, so I decided to start doing some research into what choice of treatments were out there. I read about Dr Amar’s FAMI (Fat Auto-Graft Muscle Injection) facelift on the internet. My consultation with Dr Amar took place the day before the procedure. He told me that I was perfect for a FAMI facelift. I arrived bright and early the following morning at the clinic where Dr Amar and his team were ready and waiting for me. The atmosphere was charged with everyone’s excitement and anticipation. I was sedated and as I started to relax, asked Sylvia if I should have the little dent in the middle of my nose filled out? She couldn’t decide so I said “Let the nurses decide!”

As I had such a slim body, Dr Amar took the fat from my inner knees and lower hips. I was thrilled as I no longer had wobbly knees! After it had been treated to harvest the stem cells, which takes around half an hour, the doctor started injecting my face. The procedure took around three hours and was so relaxing I actually drifted off to sleep and woke up in the recovery room.

Later I walked back over to my hotel where I inspected my face in the mirror. Although there some swelling and a little bruising, I felt no pain at all. I took things easy in the hotel for the next few days. Most of the swelling had gone by then and I caught my flight home.

I was and still am very delighted with the results. I get highly complementary remarks from all kinds of people I deal with at work. Co-workers knew that I had had something done, but they couldn’t quite figure out what it was!

The procedure costs around £10,000, which, initially sounds like a lot of money to spend on yourself. But given the long-term expectations of the lasting results, it is worth every penny!

By way of background: I am an American living in Cairo, Egypt. I had an injection of hyaluronic acid (viaderm — sort of like juvaderm) into my smile lines. Over a period of approximately four weeks, following the injection, I began to have a horrible inflammatory reaction at both injection sites. The areas were hard, raised and blue. I happened to be in the US at the time, so I went to a dermatologist in San Francisco. I had an injection of hyaluronidase, an enzyme, to absorb the hyaluronic acid.

The enzyme seemed to have absorbed the hyaluronic acid, however, as the swelling went down over the next few weeks, I was left with two extremely deep and ugly indentations on either side of my mouth. It seemed that either the hyaluronic acid or the hyaluronidase had destroyed my collagen, fat and anything else that had previously been in the area. I have never felt uglier or more depressed in my life. I began to do research to figure out what my options were. I researched possible treatments for about three months. I determined that fat injections were my only option, as I feared that I might have another inflammatory reaction to anything else.

By November, after scouring the internet, I narrowed my choices down to two doctors: Dr. Lisa Donofrio in Connecticut and Dr. Amar. I initially came across Dr. Amar’s name in a medical journal article which discussed FAMI. From his name, I found the FAMI website. Dr. Donofrio came recommended by a friend in the US. Both Doctors had patients who were very happy with their results. However, Dr. Donofrio’s procedure seemed to have less down time and was less expensive. As it turns out, the reason is that her procedure is, frankly, less sophisticated (and less effective), but I didn’t know that at the time. However, when I looked at Dr. Donofrio’s release form, it was clear that her results were not long lasting. I expressed concern about this and told her office that I was also considering Dr. Amar. Dr. Donofrio knew Dr.Amar personally and raved about how great he was.

Ultimately, Dr. Amar was the only Doctor that I could find with a track record of more permanent results. I was particularly impressed by the clear research and years that he had put into developing his technique. Dr. Amar is not merely injecting fat (as are so many doctors), but he is depositing fat stem cells along the muscle beds with his own specialized instruments. I was also moved by the testimonials of his previous patients and their before and after photographs. In some ways, his results sounded too good to be true. But after having put myself in Dr. Amar’s hands, I can fully attest that his results can be extraordinary. Making the decision to see Dr. Amar, is one of the best medical decisions I have ever made.

Dr. Amar is not only a superb doctor, but he seems to be a master in Anatomy. He really understands the muscular and anatomical structure of the face. I think this is what distinguishes him from other doctors who are doing similar work. While others might attempt to follow similar techniques, Dr. Amar combines his experience and technique with his vast knowledge of facial Anatomy.

From my first contact with Sylvia Dr Amar’s pa, she was so kind, helpful and supportive that I immediately felt at ease. Sylvia offered me hope after months of feeling terrified and desperate. She walked me through each step of the process and even called me a couple of times while I was still in Cairo, to allay any concerns that I had. Sylvia is incredible. I received the same attention and care from the first afternoon that I arrived in Marbella. That afternoon I met with Dr. Amar and Sylvia. There was also a visiting Dr. Foxx present in the office. Dr. Amar walked me through each part of the process. From the moment that I met him, I knew that I had made the right decision in choosing Dr. Amar. The day of the actual procedure was absolutely fine. I was so excited to have the procedure and to move on with my life! Again, at each step of the process, Dr. Amar, Sylvia and the staff made me feel at ease. The process itself, I have no recollection of. I remember being prepared for the procedure, moving from a very peaceful darkened room to the operating room and then awaking in the same peaceful room.

After the procedure, I couldn’t believe how swollen my face was, but even this stage, they had prepared me for. Both Dr. Amar and Sylvia told me (repeatedly) that I should not look in the mirror, that it would only make me feel depressed and they tried to impress upon me the fact that how I looked, was not my final result. I certainly appreciated their efforts, but frankly, it doesn’t matter how many times somebody tells you that… I spent the next 7 days staring at myself in the mirror, convinced that this was my final result. After the procedure, I met with Dr. Amar and Sylvia at least twice before leaving Marbella. I also met with Dr. Amar’s wife, who was lovely. She wanted to know my experience with FAMI, how I found Dr. Amar, and similarly expressed the same concern that Dr. Amar’s staff had expressed regarding my impressions of FAMI.

When I met with Dr. Amar following the procedure, he was extremely encouraging. He is a warm and wonderful person and has an extraordinary bedside manner. Honestly, because I have so much respect for him as a doctor (and had spent so many months reading about his work before I met him), I expected to find him somewhat intimidating. But from the moment I spoke with him, I found him so warm and wonderful, and I quickly felt connected to him and was able to talk to him.

Dr. Amar encouraged me to stay in touch with his office after I returned to Cairo and I was able to do this for the first 6 or so months… trying to send photographs of my results. Although I have fallen off the wagon a bit lately, I do intend to keep in touch!

I can’t believe that it has been almost a year since I first met Dr. Amar and Sylvia. Neither of them may ever fully understand the impact that they have had on my life. I am a relatively happy and outgoing person, but before my FAMI procedure, I faced some of the darkest days of my life. It is only through their help that I have moved forward from that time. Again, I simply cannot tell you how pleased I am with my FAMI result. Dr. Amar gave me back my face and my life. Honestly, words are insufficient to express my sincere gratitude and admiration for Dr. Amar. I next plan to have an upper face FAMI, probably within another year. This was really the most extensive procedure I have ever had on my face. Prior to this, I had had Botox and hyaluronic acid injections. I would never do either again, and I will never allow a Doctor other than Dr. Amar to touch my face! Dr Amar is a charming man who instantly puts one at ease, he is also extremely talented. After returning upon your training, I have done 86 facial surgeries with amazing results using your famed FAMI technique excluding the other partial FAMI which I did when I was just starting. My patients in the Philippines and others who are predominantly from the USA have repeatedly showered appreciation and accolades on me. I attended the 2nd European Congress on Preventive Regenerative and Anti-Aging Medicine in Milan and I heard a lecture entitled “Mega Adipocite/Stem Cell filling for Facial Skin Rejuvenation”. Since then I have been perturbed by what I had heard and I feel that there is a real danger of doctors denigrating this highly successful technique by the simple application of fat cells on the face. As a result of the lecture, lest the cosmetic world starts belabouring under a totally erroneous impression of this methodology, I have decided to do the following:

To start with, I am embarking on a programme to widely publicize you and the AMAR FAMI technique in the Philippines. Hopefully thereafter in Asia. Myleeene Klass and Hear’Say released two studio albums and four singles, the first two of which reached number one in the UK singles chart. This collaboration unfortunately was short lived due to conflict within the group and lack of public support. Critics and music industry insiders were quick to underestimated Myleene and brand her as just another “one hit wonder” however this was not the case as Myleene’s Klass then went onto independently release two solo classical crossover albums in 2003 and 2007 which were a huge success.

More recently, Myleene Klass has been a television and radio presenter and model.

Myleene Klass has two daughters and is expecting her third child later this year. With sleepless nights fast approaching we have asked renowned cosmetic surgeon Dr Roger Amar creator of the FAMI technique, how Myleene Klass is able to retain her youthful appearance post-pregnancy.

Analysis:
“Unfortunately, the aging process on women removes some quantity of bone surfaces specially on mothers of many children who are using the mother ‘calcium during the pregnancy.
